PROJECT ASSISTANTS
Homero Gil de Zuniga
Homero holds a Ph.D. in European Studies at Universidad Europea de Madrid and is a PhD Candidate to his second doctoral degree in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at UW-Madison. He is part of the PAs group working at DoIT Academic Technology. As such, he is currently developing the strategies of creating enhanced/video content for Podcasts in conjunction to Jan Cheetman. As academic, his interests revolve around new media and their impact in the civic and political participatory realms. Alas for us, Homero will be joining the University of Texas-Austin next Fall as assistant professor.

Sirisha Karamchedu
Sirisha is a graduate student in the Department of
Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Her prime area of focus is Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry and GIS.
She has a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering.
She worked as a lecturer in India for 5 years in the department of
Computer Science and Engineering. She has skills in teaching, multimedia,
web designing, distributed operating systems, architecture, system
software, algorithmic analysis and design, complier construction,
and testing.

Hans Klar
Hans is a Project Assistant at Academic Technology, DoIT and a Ph.D. student in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis. Hans’ role at DoIT is to evaluate the effectiveness of Engage projects. Prior to arriving at the UW-Madison, Hans spent 15 years teaching, training teachers and managing educational programs in Australia, China, Indonesia and Japan. Hans’ current academic interests are focused on enhancing educational leaders’ abilities to enhance leadership capacity within their organizations.

Luiz Lopes
Luiz
is a Ph.D. student in Educational Communications and Technology
in C&I and a Project Assistant at DoIT Academic Technology.
He is interested in using technologies that can be accessed via
the Web for teaching and learning. He taught ESL for over 11
years in Brazil and was a Teaching and Project Assistant while
pursuing his Master's in Instructional Technology at Northern
Illinois University. His skills include teaching, Web design
and development, database design, image, audio and video editing
as well as working with different file formats for these media.
Luiz has had experience working with Adobe's Photoshop and Acrobat,
Macromedia's Dreamweaver, Flash and Authorware, Studio 8, iMovie,
Vegas, and Audacity.
