round one: connect & discuss
Jan. 1, 2006 - Nov. 15, 2006

Phase
I started in January of 2006 with investigating current research
efforts on the educational benefits of simulations and games. Engage
has also organized sessions during the Fall semester with University
instructors to discuss community needs for building, adapting and
utilizing games and simulations in higher education.
On November 16th, 2006 we are hosting Play@Pyle for
faculty and staff to see examples of current simulatinos and games
in use at UW-Madison. There will also be additional conversations
about what campus needs for the successful use of these tools in
higher education. We are still looking for people to work with! We
will continue community building effots through both Phase II and
III. Please consider either joining a special
interest group or subscribing to our blog.
