eTEACH
What is eTEACH?
eTEACH is a rich presentation tool that combines PowerPoint slides with:
- video media, MP3 audio media, and/or Flash animations;
- a table of contents for random navigation and structural overview;
- links to resources either packaged with the presentation or available on the Web;
- quizzes;
- media captions;
- and control player layout

Why eTEACH?
- Helps you create accessible content - put narrated lecture/PowerPoint slides online
- Helps you provide access for students to relevant files or weblinks during the eTEACH lecture, or to any documents - spreadsheets, word documents, lecture transcripts
- Helps students 1) prep before class, so they can come to class prepared to do work or discuss topics, 2) review after class
- Provides practice quizzes for students' self-check of understanding
- May be used as part of an online class
To Use eTEACH
The eTEACH authoring tool is now available via download. Please see http://eteach.doit.wisc.edu/ for more information about the tool.
Getting Started:
- Create a login account, through the eTEACH website - http://eteach.doit.wisc.edu/
- The next screen will direct you to create a new account (username, password, email, etc.)
- Send an email to eteach-support@lists.wisc.edu requesting a space for you to work in. This could be intended for a particular course, or a practice area test space.
- If you're interested in a demonstration, or ideas for using eTEACH, a consultant can meet with you. You can call 262-5667 or send an email to academictech@doit.wisc.edu to make a consultation request.
